Melody Horton

I am an artist who enjoys the pleasure and hope of lifting the spirits of others who join me in painting and that of those who view my work. I love to create and share and teach. I paint because I am convinced of the therapeutic value of art, and its processes. I hope and pray that you, the viewer, will feel the healing effect of a lovely painting

In The Summer of 2024

I started making Miniature Paintings.  These paintings are on Magnetic Canvas of 2.5"x 2.5", 2.5"x3", 3"x3" and 3'x4"

Melody Horton was born in Geneva, Illinois, the third child of the Johnson family. She spent her childhood and many adult years living in the splendor of the Ozarks. Living in the woods, so close to nature, gave her an early appreciation for color and harmony, and a desire to become an artist. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. She and her husband Jim live in Grand Junction, where several of her family live. Melody enjoys the pleasure and hope of lifting the spirits of others who join her in painting and those who view her
